Week 11

Craft: This photo was created on Photoshop

Concept: The concept was to take a picture from my photo shoot, isolate it and place it on a background. The background had to tell a story. We used thought bubbles with NO words. This was our use of visual communication. Just all pictures. In this photo I am in the desert sitting and thinking of water. I am obviously thirsty and overdressed for this location.

Composition: I Isolated my photo on photoshop and got the background and photo of the water from google. I used the magic wand tool and eraser to isolate.

Week 10

OMG!

Craft: This photo is from my "Out On The Town" look Edited on Photo Shop

Concept: The concept was for me to be very excited about a man proposing to me and me being very excited about it since one of the attitudes for this look was "excited".

Composition: This photo was taken by a professional Cannon camera and edited on Photo Shop to isolate the picture.

Week 9

1. Off To class
2. Out On The Town
3. Lady Posture

Craft: These are three photos of me with three different looks taken by a professional Cannon Camera

Concept: The concept for photo 1 is me thinking. One of my attitudes for this look was studious and this photo portrays that. The concept of photo 2 is sassy and cute and my shoes was apart of my wardrobe so the shoe was emphasized in this shot. The concept for photo 3 was the opposite of the title. Since I was class and lady-like I was making a snooty face at a sleazy looking girl.

Composition: These photos were shot in front of green paper with a professional cannon camera by the students. Poses and encouragement were also composed by the students.

Special Edition! [Art Institute] :)

Rook working the camera! :)
All of the following Paintings are the ones that I found to be my favorite out of the hundreds that I seen. I had a very nice time at the Art Institute. I think it is super cool to travel through time using ART!

Craft: El Greco [The Feast In the House of Simon] Oil on a Cavas

Concept: During a meal in the house of Simon, a repentant woman, often assumed to be Mary Magdalene anointed Christ with costly oil. Although Simon condemned her wasteful action, Christ commended her faith and the episode came to be associated with the sacrament of penance whose values was reaffirmed by the counter reformation. The scale of this work served as an alter piece.

Composition: The scale of this framework seems like it served as the altar piece of a chapel or a side altar. The spatial distortions and the flamelike forms of the drapery, which seem to consume the bodies of the figures are characteristics of the work of El Greco's last years.

Craft: Francisco de Zabaran [The Crucifixion, 1627] Oil On a Canvas

Concept: These painting has a powerful three dimensional illusion as though is a work of sculpture rather than a painting
Composition: Dramatically lit figure of Christ set against a dark empty background, betrays the influence of Caravaggio.

Craft: Balthus [Solitaire, 1943] Oil on a Canvas

Concept: This artist is known for his mysterious emotionally charged scenes. It reveals the influence of such Old Masters as Piero Della Francesca and Paola Uccello in its monumentality as well as its awkwardness.

Composition: This was painted in Switzerland where the artist returned during WWII.

Week 8

Craft: The first photo was taken with a digital Camera and the second photo was actually taken off of Google so I am not sure what the photo was taken with.

Concept: The concept of these photos was the same as the previous week.It was to tell a story. Basically the pictures had to build on something. I chose to tell a story about me playing basketball. The forst picture represents me applying myself and playing basketball. the second photo of the girl represents the day I tore my knee in basketball practice. The third photo is suppose to be the ball actually deflating because I was no longer able to play on the team anymore my senior year because I had knee surgery. So the red paint represents blood like my heart is being broken because of this and the yellow and blue are my school colors.

Composition: The top and last photo was composed by me using a digital camera and Photo Shop. I used paint and duplicated the layers of the basketball in the first photo. The last photo I just used paint and transformed the ball to deflate.

Week 7

Craft: These photos consist of a story progressing from top to bottom.

Concept : The concept was to tell a story. The colors yellow and blue represent my school colors and the red represents my heart. The basketball represent my love of basketball. The second picture shows how applied myself to actually playing basketball. The last picture is shot further away form the ball because I was injured and not able to play anymore and the red on the floor is my heart being broken because of this.

Composition: I used Gimp to create the photo. Isolated it with the eraser and rectangle tool also using colors on the background.

Week 6

Craft: Photo consist of plates of food

Concept: The plate of right in the front and center is intended to pop out and contrast from all the other plates of food. This plate consist of leaves and grass with toppings on it. It is not food. Which is another way this specific plate of food contrast from the others. I scaled this plate to be larger in size so that the difference is obvious.

Composition: The photo has many plates that I isolated and duplicated. Keeping all the lack plates in full details of their round shape. I rescaled the middle plate so that it can be larger and I brought it to the front of the photo.

Craft: Photo consist of duplicated plates of macaroni and Cheese with one that contrast in the middle.

Concept: This photo has the same concept as the first one except I only used one plate of food for the background so that the middle plate can really jump out. The audience would immediately notice the difference in this photo. There is a major contrast in this photo since I kept the background simple and not a lot going on as the first picture.

Composition: The plate of macaroni and cheese was isolated and I kept the detail of the plate. I kept it's shape which is round. The middle plate is behind the background plates.
